Free entrance to chateau park and garden

The 17th century castle park and garden is freely accessible.

The chateau garden in Libochovice stood at the beginning of the 17th century, but there is no evidence about its early face. New owner of the Libochovice manor, Prince Gundakar of Dietrichsein, accepted the garden art of the well-known garden gardener Jan Tulipan in 1685. According to the plans of the Italian architect Antonio della Porta, he started the foundation of a garden parterre in the Baroque style, according to the model of Versailles which corresponded to the style of the countries north of the Alps at that time.

The entrance to the chateau park is free as you follow these rules:

- the whole area of the chateau, including historical interiors, is not allowed with animals, nor
in portable baskets or bags
- not ride a bicycle throughout the chateau complex
- not drive into the whole area of the chateau
- not step on the lawns or pick flowers, so give a beautiful spectacle to other visitors
